The 2020 Subaru Outback Is All-New And Ready For New Adventures

25 years ago the Subaru Outback first hit the road and ever since the Subaru Outback has been changing the way drivers explore and the all-new 2020 Outback is changing things all over again. The new Outback is larger, more powerful, more fuel efficient, safer, stronger, and equipped with more advanced technology than ever before. Built on the Subaru Global Platform the new Outback features more high-strength steel for a more sturdy structure and enhanced safety with the ability to absorb up to 40% more crash energy. Under the hood of the Outback is two new BOXER engines. A standard 182 horsepower 2.5L four-cylinder that gets 33 highway mpg. and an available 2.4L turbo with 260 horsepower and the ability to tow up to 3,500 lbs.

Inside the 2020 Outback is now 109 cubic feet of spacious seating for 5 with more premium materials and finishes. You will also have 75.7 cubic feet of maximum cargo space for bigger adventures. At the center of the Outback is a new 11.6-inch STARLINK multimedia infotainment system that includes several new apps, like Chimani. The new Chimani app brings you closer to the wild with maps, local highlights, and park history to over 400 National Parks across the United States. Other new tech features for the 2020 Outback include 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot connectivity and Harman Kardon premium audio system with Clari-Fi™ compressed audio restoration technology and GreenEdge™ high-efficiency speakers and amplifier.

Safety has always been something the Subaru Outback has excelled at and the 2020 Outback is no exception. The latest versions of EyeSight, that is standard, includes Lane Centering as part of Adaptive Cruise Control. The Outback is also available with segment-exclusive DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System and EyeSight Assist Monitor with head-up display.
