The 2019 Subaru Outback Delivers the Versatility and Dependability You Want

There's just no getting around the fact that the Subaru Outback is one of the most popular and affordable five-seat SUVs around. But it's so very much more than that! While it is reliable, efficient, and loaded with standard features, the Outback is also more than capable of taking on the off-road trails and adventures that are waiting outside.

Subaru has added some nifty standard features to the 2019 Outback, like an upgraded audio system with SiriusXM satellite radio, a 5-inch LCD display in the instrument cluster, and -- our favorite new feature -- the EyeSight® driver assistance system. This includes pre-collision and reverse automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and lane departure warning, all designed to help make your daily drive that much safer.

The 2019 Subaru Outback is offered in four trim levels: base, Premium, Limited, and Touring. Even the introductory Outback comes with such standard amenities as symmetrical all-wheel drive with X-mode, 17-inch wheels, 6-way-adjustable driver's seat, auto on/off headlights, and a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system. That system includes Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ connectivity, Bluetooth® streaming, and a CD player.

As you know, Subaru uses a "boxer" engine configuration to lower the vehicle's center of gravity and improve handling. For the 2019 Outback, there are two engines offered. The standard 2.5-liter boxer-4 makes 175 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque while earning an EPA-estimated 32 mpg highway. An available 3.6-liter flat-6 engine produces 256 horsepower and 247 pound-feet of torque, and can be added to the Limited and Touring trims.,/p>
